  • Illogical bots

I own several versions of TtR, but won’t buy any of the new ones now that the bots are pursuing a kamikaze strategy of going out—even if it means completing 0 out of 4 routes—merely to stop the opponent (me) from completing more routes. Simply put: it’s not fun. The developer responds that I can choose another bot and it won’t play the same way...wrong. They all continue to play this kamikaze style...not to win, but to prevent me from getting more points. It’s not a competitive strategy, and it’s not fun to pay against.

Si vous aimer Carcassonne n’achetez pas ce jeux car il est plus simpliste. Par contre l‘application est bien conçue...les enfants vont adorer

  • SWITZERLAND map buggy & unusable

Both iPads think it is the other player’s turn so no one can go. Only happens on SWITZERLAND map, often first turn. Please fix. We turned off Bluetooth because it seems more stable that way - I assume you are using Multipeer and the pathing is less complicated with only wifi. Either way Swiss map is buggy

  • The new turn banner

Hi, Don’t like to complain usually, the app is as great as the game itself but the new turn banner is annoying as hell. It hides cards and a way too big part of the board, and it stays too long before it disappears. I’ve started 2 games few moments ago and stopped both of them because this new feature irritates me too much. It would be great to have at least the possibility in the settings to turn this off. To keep it like it was before the update, or without anything to tell us its our turn, we don’t need it anyway and it slows down the play. Hopefully I’m not the only one thinking this way, otherwise thanks for your good work, this app is definitely one of the best adaptation of a classic boardgame. Edit: Turn banner has been removed, huge thanks !

Removing the turn banner was the right thing to do. I know it is hard to abandon what you think is a great idea, but sometimes you have to trust the existing player base over the potential newer player base — which you have done by removing the turn banner. I normally play the basic board but will probably buy a new one as gratitude. Getting rid of an improvement that people don’t appreciate is, sadly, the exception rather than the rule in 2020. (For example, I have abandoned playing Scrabble entirely...) You did the right thing here, tough to someone’s pride as it surely was. Six stars if I could.

I used to love this game, mostly for solo playing when I needed a break. I bought all the boards and everything. The new banner, which is helpful for online play, ruins the solo game. Catan and Carcassonne are now my game break and I’ve deleted this game. Hopefully they will change the configuration of this game to make the banner optional.

C'mon! Why do we have to literally re-download the entire app at each update!!!?

  • Crashes constantly

Love the game, but the app crashes all the time or won’t load or says “authenticating” forever until it just finally crashes. It got worse after adding the European version.
