I absolutely love this game and the community in global chat. Sometimes when I’m bored I’ll just message people in global chat about in game things. I’ve been playing for about 3 and a half months and am loving it

  • Great concept and mechanics, but very strong P2P bias and missing fundamentals

The mechanics of the game are fairly easy to understand, but difficult to master. The ability to create basic AI for your crew creates a very strong strategic element to the game, and works very well with the limited available space on the player’s ship. However, the game is strongly biased for P2P. Other than just strategy, crew members make or break the game, and as expected, require a lot of premium currency. Proponents would argue Starbux is attainable without paying, but one must watch 25 ads for a measly 75 Starbux... wow... Story progression and mission difficulty is non-linear. The first few missions are extremely simple, with enemy ships barely putting up a fight. Later on, the difficulty increases significantly. Unlike Clash of Clans, there is no feature to store multiple ship layouts. The need for a Fleet Council room is also absurd, and provides discouragement for joining a fleet for new players. I must say though, the community has been great so far and are very friendly. The game has been around for a few years now, and I see what should be fundamental bugs that should not be here. For example, when rearranging your ship layout, there’s a 25% chance of getting an invalid columns/rows move, resulting in the game to reload. Loading times are inconsistent and can vary by minutes... not to mention resulting in app hang ups. Some missions result in an error, but still consumes the daily allowance. Another big issue is this game will rapidly consume your battery. I am using an iPhone 10 and about an hour of gameplay will consume 30-40% battery - seems too high for a pixel art game. Overall, the game has great potential but misses many fundamentals, hence the 2/5 rating.

Literally hit a point where you have to spend money just to advance in the story, the game has good idea I just shouldn’t have to fight ships I can’t win against no matter what I try.

Seemingly simple, this game does offer a lot of avenues to discover and therefore can adapt to many player’s style.

So I upgraded my mineral storage and it filled up again immediately. Can you please make resource management easier? Only problem right now. I’m out of gas trying to upgrade mineral storage and I require what I’m out of to get more. ............. look I’m tired and confused so this report is flawed and my point may be wrong. Edit: nvm I figured it out. Told u it wasn’t valid. So the problem here is that upgrades to storage provide around 3000 extra capacity. A tend to acquire more then sufficient and as a result, it fills up to quickly. Plz buff upgrades.

Let’s be real it’s a little tedious at points. And it does kinda feel like pay to play at some points. But they’ve fixed that by giving ads that cut down on wait time. I don’t like ads but I know they have to make money some how so I don’t mind them in the game especially since they’re all optional ads. You can certainly get things done faster if you pay to play. But you don’t need to, often the in game currency will float by on your screen and you can tap to get it. Some things are out of balance like the market, but it’s a free market so I see how it goes out of whack. It doesn’t make sense sometimes when people will pay 500k mineral for a crate that holds 1k mineral or 30k mineral. But, that’s there problem not mine. If you okay enough you can earn Starbucks by strategically selling things on the market. There are daily rewards if you choose to purchase some of their in game currency. I was satisfied because I got something that totally wasn’t a Gundam and I am here for for it. Some of the frustrating things mostly come from battle. It’s strategic and you need to have your command set up so you can use AI effectively. Once it’s set up though you don’t even need to do much in a battle. Just sit back and destroy your enemies. It’s brilliant and I love it. I would recommend that you get this game, it’s fun and if you’re a programmer or someone who likes space and ship battles. Then you will enjoy this game, the developers work hard to fix flaws and they’ve created a game that is enjoyable and long lasting.
